Happy Birthday TJ (March 12)

How the years have flown bye! The little boy I know and love has grown up. You have matured from that competitive little guy who I watched and coached in little league soccer, basketball, and baseball into a six-foot tall, young man, who's now able to drive.

I'm proud of you, TJ.

Happy Birthday! —Dad

P.S. I hope you haven't grown up too much that you still won't join your old man at a ball game!

Food safety legislation reform has taken a back seat recently to the emotional debate on healthcare reform. I would argue that food safety is closely related and just as important.

Senator Durbin Conference Call

A week ago I participated on a conference call, at S.T.O.P.’s invitation, with over one-hundred people and Senator Richard Durbin (D-IL). Mr. Durbin is the majority whip in the Senate and sponsor of bill S-510, the Food Safety Modernization Act. The bill is still in committee and may come up for vote by the end of the year.
