Condolences to the Joseph Coning Family

I would like to extend my deepest condolences and sympathy to the family of Joseph Coning of Tennessee. Joseph passed on Monday after losing his battle with E. coli and hemolytic uremic syndrome. I wept for the Coning’s when I read this; their story reminded me why I am so passionate about wanting to tell Chance’s story through my book and speaking engagements. This truly is why I want to spread the word about issues of food safety.

Read more about Joseph’s story in The Daily Times.

I would like to add my condolences as well. I was very sad to read the news of Joseph’s passing. Like Kip, I sincerely hope the day comes when stories like Joseph’s don’t need to be told. Kip’s passion for the Second Chance project inspires me and I am honored to be collaborating with him on his book and this website to bring issues of food safety to the forefront.
